I have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, and I came to yoga through a roundabout way. Skepticism is in my nature, but so is curiosity.
Years ago, yoga was already a popular topic. However, to me, it always seemed somewhat esoteric and appeared to be suited only for people with "rubber-like bodies." One was unfamiliar to me, and the other, I didn’t possess. Still, I tried out various yoga schools and concluded that yoga wasn’t for me.
Sandra Scherer was my dance teacher. To warm up, we began each class with yoga exercises. Over time, I started to really enjoy them.
After about six months, I realized that I wouldn’t get very far with dancing. So, I suggested to Sandra that we do yoga instead. It wasn’t just a better choice; it was the best choice.
For the next seven years, I practiced yoga with Sandra once or twice a week. These sessions became highlights in my stressed life—marked by work, family, a dog, and numerous other commitments.
The two-hour yoga classes were a true source of energy. I felt my body becoming stronger and more flexible with each session. I learned what deep relaxation feels like and how to push beyond my limits—I never thought I’d be able to do a headstand one day.
Sandra’s sense of security and empathy played an enormous role in these sessions—and over time, they seemed to transfer to me. Additionally, her knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail in working with my body were invaluable.
I learned an incredible amount from Sandra Scherer. She also introduced me to the philosophical world of yoga teachings. She taught me to understand concepts like "breathe through the pain" and "good pain." Through her, I also came to know the abstract feeling of the "oneness" of mind and body. And today, I know this has nothing to do with esotericism.
When Sandra left Germany, it left a huge void for me. It was a true loss of quality of life. I searched long and desperately for a new yoga teacher. After Sandra, this was an almost hopeless endeavor.
I miss Sandra and our yoga sessions together very much. But I hope we can reconnect through ZOOM and bring back the good old days of our lessons.

Sandra is not only a very empathetic person but also an anatomy expert. She sees the smallest movements and recognizes larger connections from them.
Even in large classes, she manages to see everyone in an incredible way, leaves no one without corrections and knows how to keep an eye on all the special features, whether it be bad posture, pain patterns, operations, illnesses, etc. Amazing!
Dear Sandra, I love coming to your workshops every year and am inspired and well-moved after each one;)

I have been doing yoga with Sandra since summer 2017, in Iyengar Yoga (beginners course). Even after the first taster course, I knew: I like the care and precision with which Sandra works, guides, corrects, etc., it suits me very well.
Since this summer I have been taking the Iyengar course: Mindfulness and Breathing.
New worlds are opening up to me here! I love the clarity of the morning mood and Sandra's detailed, careful instructions for deep inner "movements" and for perceiving inner processes.
I learn about the activation of the Mula Bandha, a deep ascending stream of power... How surprised I was that it caused my body to straighten up almost automatically...
I am learning how to widen my pelvis... how to think of my feet as bigger... what effect this has on my body...
...inner spaces and lightness arise that I have not known for seventy years...
I really appreciate Sandra's competent and careful manner!

I have been booking regular individual yoga sessions with Sandra for 3 years and I don't want to miss them anymore. And I enjoy every yoga session with Sandra. Barbara Jäkle

The experiences and insights from the individual lessons with Sandra Scherer inspire me in many different areas of life. Sandra Scherer lets me experience physical alignment again and again in new and deeper ways using her exercises and helpful techniques that are tailored to me. This opens up new spaces, both for my body and for my thoughts and feelings.
Sandra Scherer works holistically, recognizes connections and draws on her extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, philosophy and religious studies. I sense that, due to her biography, she knows and appreciates both Western and Eastern cultures, through her appreciative attitude and preservation of my personal spirituality.
I can definitely say that the bodywork with Sandra Scherer continues to inspire and enrich me as a person and my work as a singer and physiotherapist. Last but not least, it gives me enormous joy to be able to work with someone with such a big and open heart.

Sandra has an enormous amount of knowledge. What I value most is her in-depth anatomical knowledge. She places a lot of emphasis on fine adjustments, always incorporates different instructions into her lessons and thus supports each individual in getting to know their own body and how to work individually, regardless of whether they are beginners or have previous knowledge.
Sandra lives and conveys the feeling of respecting and appreciating one's own body and makes it easy to curb false ambition.
The lessons are challenging to the right degree, but never overwhelming.
Through regular yoga practice with her, I feel strengthened, free and relaxed at the same time. Sandra's classes often help me to relieve headaches and tensions that have built up from everyday life. I have become more balanced in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I am very happy to have found such a competent yoga teacher in the big "yoga jungle".

Sandra's school in Bremgarten was a stroke of luck for me. When I retired as a human resources specialist and vocational trainer, I was looking for a good school that offered Iyengar yoga. I didn't just want to maintain my flexibility, I wanted to improve it and stay mentally fit. Conclusion after 5 years: goal achieved!
I have benefited a lot mentally, physically and spiritually from Sandra and would like to continue to do so. Her wealth of experience is immense and her knowledge very broad; she carefully answers each of our questions. I appreciate her fluid teaching style and her calm and clear voice. She always knows an exercise that can relieve discomfort or make a difficult posture easier.
She introduces us to new processes with care and warmth. She sensitively addresses the health restrictions of her students and shows them variations. Each lesson flies by and is very varied and challenging. We get to know muscles that we didn't even know we had.
During the lockdown, she immediately posted videos online so that we could continue training. I feel like I'm in the right place with Sandra and I'm convinced that she has something to offer all age groups.

T wo and a half years ago a friend introduced me to Sandra and her Iyengar yoga course, and since then my body and mind perception has changed very positively.
Additionally, I can feel my muscles much more intensely, even muscles I never realized I had.
Through these profound exercises my posture has changed and my awareness has increased.
My ability to concentrate and my well-being have improved immensely.
Sandra has a wonderful way of teaching and correcting her students, her voice is extremely soothing.
Joining her class was one of the best decisions I ever made.
I have been working as a self-employed property manager since 2009.

I appreciate the professional way in which Sandra Scherer teaches yoga. You can immediately tell that she has years of experience behind her, which she shares with us. She approaches each person individually and teaches us the art of movement with a lot of dedication and mindfulness.
Through targeted stretching, posture and breathing exercises, she lets us sense and learn that body, mind and soul want to be connected. My years of relatively one-sided posture due to my job as a beautician and therapist left traces of pain and shortened muscles.
Through yoga I am learning to pay more attention to my body again and enjoy it. I really like the holistic approach to thinking and actions that goes into the classes.
I give Sandra Scherer’s yoga school 10 stars!!

I was able to experience a wonderful yoga retreat with Sandra in the Bernese Oberland.
Her teaching is based on great experience and knowledge. The style is fine and subtle.
The precise instructions, whether verbal or demonstrated, help to understand, feel and experience what yoga actually means. I feel very strengthened and fulfilled after these days with her, in this beautiful place.

Thank you so much, Sandra, for the wonderful workshop you gave here in Frankfurt this summer. It's always great and very, very beneficial to take part in your yoga classes and experience how your teaching changes.
I experience you as a person who is always curious, constantly strives to expand their wealth of experience and never stops learning. This strong desire and your ability to look both inward and outward and to incorporate this into your lessons is what makes your teaching so unique.
The personal closeness that you are able to establish and your approachability, coupled with comprehensive movement therapy knowledge, creates a great trusting closeness and an exercise-intensive atmosphere.
I met Sandra almost 20 years ago at the Frankfurt Dance and Theater Workshop. That was the first time I came into contact with yoga and her teaching style gripped me and hasn't let go of me since. From then on, I regularly took part in Sandra's classes and workshops.
Since Sandra moved to Switzerland, I have invited her from time to time to workshops in Germany or organized a yoga trip to Bremgarten with other 'fans'.
I'm already looking forward to the next event.

As part of my 4.5-year yoga training with Bruno Dietziker, Sandra was a regular guest lecturer for Iyengar yoga.
With her sympathetic nature, calm, empathetic and also dance-like style, she manages to work on the body down to the finest details, which I had never noticed before, using very clear instructions and tools. Wonderful!
Her knowledge of the body, the correct healthy alignment, how it works and moves is impressive. There is a lot of experience behind it. If her yoga studio was near me, I would go to her classes immediately!

Before the coaching, I was unsure about which career path I wanted to take in the future. I had a vague idea. Sandra expanded the options with me and then narrowed down the topic step by step. Through the coaching, I gained clarity about my career path. She also provided me with a "first aid kit" that I can use in difficult situations.
We didn't just look at the actual issue, but also the environment, beliefs, insecurities, fears. I was supported in various topics.
Sandra works in a very structured way and asks the right questions. She guided me in a targeted manner and we quickly reached our goal. She has lots of ideas and a broad range of technical knowledge.
Sandra is a very empathetic and warm person. She empathizes with the topic and uses her personality to create a safe, trusting and protected environment.

I originally knew and appreciated Sandra as my yoga teacher. Now I was able to experience her as a coach. I was not surprised that Sandra was also a good fit for me as a coach. Her diverse training, her life experience and her ability to look at things from different perspectives, holistically, all of this made the coaching infinitely valuable for me.
In 4 (or 5?) coaching sessions, I was able to find out my concrete (professional) goals, formulate them and identify some stumbling blocks. I gained clarity about what I want and what I don't want and gained real joy for the next steps. The coaching was absolutely helpful for me!
After each coaching session, I was able to leave the room feeling lighter, more positive and more courageous. Sandra's calm yet lively manner somehow rubs off on me and makes me calm, clear and confident.
Sandra simply fascinates me as a person, the way she lives and radiates her knowledge/experience. That is what makes her so authentic and inspiring for me. Her warmth, her empathy, her accepting and appreciative manner touch me and are very beneficial. Meeting Sandra is one of the happy "coincidences" that I have had the pleasure of experiencing in my life. Getting to know her is a great gift for me and makes me incredibly grateful. Sandra has had a wonderfully positive influence on my path and has lovingly accompanied me in my professional (re)orientation and beyond.
I can't even put into words how good the coaching with Sandra felt and everything I was able to take away with me.
grateful, Camilla

Through my work with Sandra Scherer, I recognized my potential. I never thought it could take me so far. Through her questioning of my statements, I learned a lot about myself. And for the first time, I was able to understand what I really wanted. She motivated me a lot. I'm on the right path, both professionally and personally. Sandra Scherer is extremely empathetic and professional!
